If you’re visiting for the first time then Central Carmel may be the right fit for you. That’s where you’ll find lots of shops, restaurants, some attractions and hotels.

Another great area close to the sandy shores is Northwest Carmel, which has a super nice hiking trail that leads to the beach (map).
