Where to find this perfect pairing

Namaste your way to bliss at Camp Lucy in Texas wine country — Photo courtesy of Camp Lucy

As a pilates and yoga studio owner, I’ve attended my fair share of wellness retreats, but yoga and wine experiences are by far my favorite. Both activities require being in the moment and tuning into your senses. During yoga, you pay attention to your body and movement, while at a wine tasting, you focus on the olfaction and taste sensories.

Whether you’re into yoga or wine, and possibly both, we’ve rounded up our favorite destinations for yoga and wine, along with some options where you can create your take on the experience.

Says Casi Masciorini, co-owner of Namaste Vineyards in Dallas, Oregon: “The benefits of wine and yoga bring a certain internal and external peace. People come as individuals and leave as friends.”

It’s also home to The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, an Auberge property that was once a stagecoach stop in the late 1800s. The historic landmark now offers various accommodations, from cottages to the main guesthouse, all with contemporary farmhouse design.

Guests staying on the property have access to complimentary daily yoga on the Hartley Lawn, surrounded by the beauty of the Santa Ynez Mountains as the backdrop (weather permitting). The property offers several wine country packages, but our favorite is the Girls Gone Wine tour, which introduces you to three highly acclaimed female winemakers as you enjoy a curated tasting.
